The length of your professionally written life story entirely depends on your budget, and we offer packages ranging from 7,500 words to 100,000 words.
The process of writing a life story typically begins by planning the book with each client to determine which life stages and stories they want to cover in interviews. Then we begin the interviews, which typically last between one and two hours, depending on our client’s preference. Some people prefer shorter interviews, and that is fine. Others might enjoy interviews of about 90 minutes or 2 hours. This is entirely up to you. With one or two interviews completed, we send you sample chapters to ensure you are happy with the style, content and tone of writing. With the interviews concluded, we will complete drafting your autobiography/memoirs/life story before beginning the editing process with you. This involves us sending the first full draft and accepting your revisions. We can accept a couple of editing rounds, sometimes more, before we ask you to agree on the final text. Finally, we begin designing the hardback book, complete with colour photographs. Then it’s time to wait for the final delivery of your book (s).

The answer to this question really depends on how many words you commission us to write for your autobiography, but we suggest expecting at a timeframe of several months. We always ensure we complete the content gathering (interviews) as soon as possible, so you can rest assured that we have gathered all the content for your book, and we will provide a clear timeline before we begin.

Yes, we often gather our clients’ life stories through phone or video calls. Meeting you would also be great.
Yes. There is an extra cost for doing so, but we are often on the road or boarding a train or aeroplane to visit clients in their homes across the country and abroad.
No. We feel that we can write just as good an autobiography/life story/memoir by interviewing you on video calls as we can by meeting you in person. We do always love to meet our clients if we can.
Not at all. You just need to be willing to share your experiences. We ask thoughtful questions to ensure we capture your life story and can do the storytelling work for you.
Yes. Absolutely. Revisions are a big part of the process when finalising your life story, and we collaborate with you until the autobiography feels right.
Yes. All interviews, notes, and drafts are handled with strict confidentiality. Your story remains yours throughout the process. The only time your stories are shared are with the printers publishing your book.
Yes. We can help incorporate photos, letters, journals, and other materials into the narrative and structure your life story in a meaningful way.

You do. Once the project is complete and paid for, you retain full ownership and rights to your autobiography.
Yes. We format your autobiography so that we can print it as a hardback book with olour photographs and share it digitally. We write for family and friends to read, rather than for selling to the general public.
The number of copies you receive from Forever Stories ranges from 1 to 10. Unlimited additional copies can be ordered at your cost. Forever Stories does not charge any service fee for ordering additional copies on your behalf, simply acting as an agent between you and the printer.
Yes. We can order additional copies of your life story/autobiography/memoir. We simply act as an agent between you and the printer.
We do not use pre-set questionnaires or auto-transcription to write our clients’ autobiographies. We do not use AI generation for writing. We do not use AI for transcription.
